The West Bengal State Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a suspected terrorist named Nannu Meena from Howrah district on Saturday.
Meena is accused of being associated with militant activities, and the STF made the arrest based on a tip-off. This is the second suspected terrorist arrested in Bengal in a week.
The police have initiated a case against Meena under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and UAPA, and are interrogating him to gather information about his associates.
The NIA had previously started an investigation into suspected terrorist sleeper cells active in districts adjacent to Bangladesh.
